Are you responsible for recovering from errors in your CICS Transaction Server (TS) regions? Are you the one who keeps the system up and running? In order to perform your job, you need to understand the internal structure of CICS TS Version 3.1 and learn a proven methodology to perform problem determination and analysis. Get practical experience in analyzing system and transaction dumps.

This is the first course in the three-part series that includes:

• CICS Transaction Server for z/OS V3.1 Structure and Debugging Module I (CI833)
• CICS Transaction Server for z/OS V3.1 Structure and Debugging Module II (CI843)
• CICS Transaction Server for z/OS V2.3 Structure and Debugging-Web and EJB Support (CI845)
• We recommend that these three courses be taken in order. Modules 1 and 2 may be taken consecutively or with a short consolidation gap between them. Module 3, Web and EJB Support, may be taken when needed.

You should complete:

• CICS Transaction Server for z/OS V3.1 Structure and Debugging Module I (CI833) or have equivalent experience
• You should have extensive experience with CICS externals and understand the basics of CICS system programming.
